Mark is originally from Roebuck, South Carolina, where he graduated from Dorman High School. He attended Lee University where he met Lisa, and they married shortly after college graduation.
Mark grew up in a home that emphasized Missions from an early age. Upon their marriage, Mark and Lisa were challenged by their parents to give a little of their finances to missions each month and increase that amount each year.
They “gave a little more” to missions in 2005 by closing their business and moving to the mission field.

Upon return to the United States, Mark knew he could not return to a secular job, his heart was completely in missions work. He joined the staff of Praise Cathedral as Missions Pastor shortly thereafter.  Mark is also the facilities coordinator and oversees the security at Praise.

Mark and Lisa have been married for over 20 years, and they have 3 boys, Gabriel, Joshua, and Samuel.
