Day 3: The Decision to Forgive
Devotional
Forgiveness says, we pay. And we don’t like that, do we? Forgiveness is not an end of itself, but forgiveness is a means to an end. It requires a conscious decision to forgive, even before we feel like it. This decision is crucial for our spiritual growth and reconciliation with others. Reflect on the importance of making the decision to forgive, even when it is difficult. Ask God for the strength and courage to make this decision in your own life.

Bible Verse
For if while we were enemies we were reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, now that we are reconciled, shall we be saved by his life. – Romans 5:10

Reflection Question
What steps can you take today to make the decision to forgive someone who has wronged you, even if you don’t feel like it?

Quote
You have to decide to forgive. And I’m going to go ahead and give you a news flash. You have to decide it before you feel it.

Prayer
Lord, help me to make the decision to forgive, even when it is difficult. Give me the strength and courage to follow through with this decision. Amen.
