Where is Your Hope?

Devotional
Hope is a necessity for humanity. Without hope, we cease to exist. In Revelation 21, we are given a vision of a new heaven and a new earth, where God will dwell among His people. This vision was a source of strength for the first-century church, who faced intense persecution. They found hope in the promise of a future without death, sorrow, crying, or pain. Today, we must ask ourselves: where is our hope? Are we placing it in temporary things, or in the eternal promises of God? Reflect on the hope that comes from the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and let it anchor your soul.

Bible Verse
And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, ‘Look! God’s dwelling place is now among the people, and he will dwell with them. They will be his people, and God himself will be with them and be their God.’ – Revelation 21:3

Reflection Question
Where are you placing your hope today? Is it in temporary things or in the eternal promises of God?

Prayer
Lord, help me to place my hope in You and Your eternal promises. Remind me daily of the hope I have in Jesus Christ, and let it anchor my soul in times of trouble. Amen.
