Devotional
We often equate ‘good’ with things that make us happy or comfortable. However, Romans 8:28 challenges this notion by revealing that God’s definition of good is different from ours. God’s ‘good’ is about conforming us to the image of His Son, Jesus Christ. This means that even the difficult and painful experiences in our lives are being used by God for our ultimate good. When we grasp this truth, we can find peace and even joy in the midst of our trials, knowing that God is at work in us, shaping us to be more like Jesus.
Bible Verse
“And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.” – Romans 8:28
