Devotional
Philippians 2:5-8 beautifully captures the humility and sacrifice of Jesus: ‘Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ Jesus, who, being in the form of God, did not consider it robbery to be equal with God, but made Himself of no reputation, taking the form of a bondservant, and coming in the likeness of men. And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross.’ Jesus relinquished His divine privileges to become human and die for our sins. This act of surrender calls us to do the same—to relinquish our comforts and desires for the sake of the Gospel. True joy is found in surrendering our lives to Jesus and living for His glory.
Bible Verse

And being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself and became obedient to the point of death, even the death of the cross. – Philippians 2:5-8

He relinquished his life. If he relinquished his life, then I have to be willing to trade my life and my desire for comfort for the cross that glorifies him.
