Devotional
How quickly our hearts can change! One moment we’re praising God for His goodness, and the next, we’re questioning His presence in our lives. This dramatic shift is powerfully illustrated in the events of Holy Week. The same crowds that celebrated Jesus’s entry into Jerusalem would, just days later, call for His crucifixion. This sobering reality serves as a mirror to our own spiritual lives. How often do we enthusiastically praise God when things are going well, only to question or abandon Him when circumstances become challenging? Our human nature tends toward spiritual amnesia, forgetting God’s faithfulness in times of difficulty. Yet, God’s love remains constant despite our wavering hearts. He calls us to cultivate a steadfast faith that persists regardless of our circumstances.
Bible Verse
“As he was going along, people were spreading their cloaks on the road. As he approached the descent from the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully praising God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen.” – Luke 19:36-37
