Devotional
Growth rarely happens within our comfort zones. God often calls us to step out in faith, to move beyond what feels safe and familiar. Like Jonah, we might resist this call, preferring to stay where it’s comfortable. But God’s greatest work often begins when we take that first step of obedience. Remember, we don’t need to make everything happen on our own. Our role is simply to be obedient; God handles the results. When we step out in faith, we position ourselves to witness God’s power in action. He can take our small acts of obedience and multiply their impact beyond our imagination.
Bible Verse
‘But David said to Saul, ‘I cannot go in these, for I have not tested them.’ So David put them off.’ – 1 Samuel 17:39
Reflection Question
What step of faith is God asking you to take that you’ve been hesitating to make?
Quote
“When you do what God’s called you to do and you step out for God, you don’t have to make it happen. You just step back and let God do what he’s going to do.”
Prayer
Dear God, give me courage to step out of my comfort zone when You call. Help me trust that You will work through my obedience, even when I can’t see the outcome. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
