Devotional
Sometimes God allows storms in our lives not to destroy us, but to redirect us. Like Jonah, we might find ourselves in turbulent situations that seem overwhelming. Yet these challenges often serve as wake-up calls, drawing our attention back to God’s voice and will. These divine disruptions, while uncomfortable, are actually expressions of God’s love and commitment to our spiritual growth. Instead of viewing difficulties as punishment, we can choose to see them as opportunities for correction and growth. God’s storms always have a purpose – to bring us back to His perfect plan for our lives.

Bible Verse
Woman, why do you involve me? Jesus replied. My hour has not yet come. – John 4:4

Reflection Question
What storm in your life might actually be God’s loving attempt to redirect your path?

Quote
“God sends storms, never to destroy us. He is not that God. But he loves you enough to send a storm to correct you so that you can be put on the path you should be put on.”

Prayer
Heavenly Father, help me recognize Your loving hand in life’s storms. Give me the wisdom to learn from these challenges and the courage to follow Your redirections. Amen.
