Devotional
Christ’s resurrection isn’t just about what happened to Him – it’s a preview of what awaits all believers. Like the first apple harvested from a tree promises many more to come, Jesus’ resurrection guarantees our future resurrection. This gives us tremendous hope and purpose. We’re not just living for this temporary life; we’re destined for an eternal existence in glorified bodies. This truth should fill us with joy and anticipation, knowing our current struggles are temporary and that something far greater awaits us.
Bible Verse
“But in fact Christ has been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep.” – 1 Corinthians 15:20
Reflection Question
How does knowing that your current body and circumstances are temporary change your perspective on your present challenges?
Prayer
Jesus, thank You for being the firstfruits of resurrection. Help me live in light of the promise that I too will be raised. Let this hope sustain me through all of life’s challenges. Amen.
