Devotional
Our past failures and struggles often feel like barriers to being used by God. But what if these very experiences are actually preparing us for greater impact? Consider how God works: Joseph’s imprisonment prepared him to save nations. Moses’ wilderness years equipped him for leadership. Our scars and struggles aren’t disqualifications – they’re credentials. They give us unique insight and empathy that make us perfectly suited to help others facing similar challenges. God doesn’t waste our pain; He transforms it into purpose. When we embrace our story, including its difficult chapters, we become living testimonies of God’s redemptive power.

Bible Verse
Then David said to the Philistine, ‘You come to me with a sword and with a spear and with a javelin, but I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.’ – 1 Samuel 17:45

Reflection Question
What past struggle or failure have you been viewing as a limitation that God might actually want to use as a platform for ministry?

Father, help me see my scars through Your eyes. Transform my past pain into purpose. Use my story to bring hope and healing to others. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
