Devotional
At the root of many of our spiritual struggles lies pride. Like Jonah, we often find ourselves in conflict not really with others, but with God Himself. We question His decisions, doubt His wisdom, and sometimes even resist His mercy toward others. This pride can manifest in subtle ways – through our judgments, our anger, our resistance to change. Yet God continues to work with us, patiently revealing our heart issues and inviting us into a deeper understanding of His character.

Bible Verse
“Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us.” – Hebrews 12:1

Reflection Question
In what areas of your life might pride be preventing you from fully embracing God’s will or showing His love to others?

Quote
“Much of our sin is rooted in pride. And our struggle is with God.”

Prayer
God, reveal to me the areas where pride has taken root in my heart. Help me to humble myself before You and accept Your perfect will, even when it challenges my preferences. Amen.
