Devotional
As we dive into the holiday season, it’s easy to get caught up in the hustle and bustle of decorations, gift-buying, and festive preparations. Yet, amidst all this, there often lies a sense of emptiness. We’ve gone through the process. We hung the lights, we put up the tree, we filled our bellies, but not our hearts. The true essence of Christmas is not found in these external activities but in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. The Gospel is not just a story we hear every year; it is a living truth meant to be alive within us, transforming our hearts and minds. This week, let’s focus on rediscovering this essence and allowing it to fill our hearts with true joy and peace.

Bible Verse
We always thank God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, when we pray for you, because we have heard of your faith in Christ Jesus and of the love you have for all God’s people— the faith and love that spring from the hope stored up for you in heaven and about which you have already heard in the true message of the gospel. – Colossians 1:3-5

Reflection Question In what ways have you been going through the motions this holiday season without truly experiencing the essence of Christmas?
