Devotional
In life’s storms, the voices we listen to matter tremendously. There’s the voice of fear, the voice of doubt, and sometimes even the voice of despair. But in these moments, we need to learn to speak faith over our circumstances. This isn’t about denial or fake positivity – it’s about choosing to anchor ourselves in God’s truth even when everything around us suggests otherwise. Like Jonah, we can choose to pray and declare God’s faithfulness even from the darkest places. This practice of speaking faith builds our spiritual muscles and helps us maintain hope in seemingly hopeless situations.
Bible Verse
Then I said, ‘I am driven away from your sight; yet I shall again look upon your holy temple.’ – Jonah 2:4
Reflection Question
What truths about God do you need to speak over your current situation, and how can you make this a daily practice?
Quote
You got to learn to talk to yourself. You got to learn to talk over the voice of the storm and over the voice of the enemy and over the whispers of the one who’s trying to destroy you.
Prayer
God, give me the strength to speak faith over my circumstances. Help me to hear Your voice above all others and to declare Your truth even in the midst of storms. Amen.
