Devotional
Life’s storms often have deeper meanings than we initially recognize. When we choose to go our own way instead of God’s way, we might find temporary comfort, but there’s always a cost. Like Jonah’s journey to Tarshish, we might find a boat willing to take us where we want to go, but that doesn’t mean it’s where we should be. Our disobedience not only affects us but can bring turbulence to those around us. Yet even in these storms, God’s mercy remains constant, ready to redirect us back to His path.

Bible Verse
“What shall we conclude then? Do we have any advantage? Not at all! For we have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under the power of sin.” – Romans 3:9

Reflection Question
What ‘storms’ in your life might be the result of choosing your own path over God’s direction?

Quote
“Disobedience always comes with a price. There’s always a storm attached.”

Prayer
Father, help me recognize when I’m choosing my own way over Yours. Give me the wisdom to see the consequences of my disobedience and the strength to return to Your path. Amen.
