Devotional
The story of Uriah the Hittite is a stark reminder of the reality of injustice in our world. Uriah, a loyal and brave warrior, faced a tragic end due to King David’s betrayal. Despite his unwavering dedication, he was wronged in the most profound way. This raises the question: why do bad things happen to good people? In our own lives, we often encounter situations that seem deeply unfair. Personal tragedies and broader societal injustices can leave us feeling disheartened and confused. Yet, it is in these moments that we must remember that we are not alone. The cross stands as the ultimate symbol of unfairness and injustice, where Jesus Christ, the innocent Lamb of God, suffered for our sake. His crucifixion is not only a symbol of sacrifice but also a beacon of hope and love.

Bible Verse
He was despised and rejected by mankind, a man of suffering, and familiar with pain. Like one from whom people hide their faces he was despised, and we held him in low esteem. – Isaiah 53:3
