Our spiritual choices rarely affect us alone. Like ripples in a pond, our decisions impact those around us – our family, friends, colleagues, and even strangers. When Jonah fled from God’s call, the sailors on his ship faced a life-threatening storm. Similarly, our disobedience or faithfulness can create waves that touch others’ lives. This understanding should motivate us to consider carefully how our spiritual choices might affect our community. Every act of obedience or rebellion has consequences beyond our immediate experience.
