Devotional
In our daily lives, we often find ourselves praying for happiness, comfort, and ease. But have you ever stopped to consider what God truly desires for us? Romans 8:26 reminds us that the Holy Spirit intercedes for us in our weakness, ensuring our prayers align with God’s will. This means that even when we don’t know what to pray for, the Spirit is guiding our prayers towards God’s ultimate purpose for us. This purpose is not merely our happiness but our transformation into the likeness of Jesus Christ. When we understand this, our perspective on prayer changes. We begin to see that God’s answers to our prayers are not always about making us happy but about making us holy.
Bible Verse
“In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness. We do not know what we ought to pray for, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us through wordless groans.” – Romans 8:26
